Course Description

Consumers expect companies to demonstrate corporate social responsibility (CSR), as people become more aware the impact of their buying decisions. This panel will discuss their approach to CSR, and the role communications plays both internally and externally.

Meet the panelists 

Sherry Johnson is senior manager of corporate social responsibility at CoBank. In this role, Ms. Johnson is responsible for the development and management of the bank’s corporate citizenship initiatives including its signature Sharing Success and No Barriers programs. Prior to joining CoBank, Ms. Johnson spent 15 years in corporate communications for the financial services industry. She earned her bachelor’s degree in communications from Regis University.

Andrea Miller is the community engagement manager for Delta Dental of Colorado. The Delta Dental of Colorado Community Engagement / CSR program supports a shared value between the company’s mission and its business priorities developing strategic partnerships, placing company leadership to serve on community boards, creating transformative team member engagement experiences, and fostering cross-department collaborations. She has a Master in Public Administration from the University of North Texas and an undergraduate degree from Illinois State University.

Elizabeth Moser leads the corporate social responsibility efforts for Great-West Financial and Empower Retirement, where she loves bringing engaging programs and campaigns to Great-West’s more than 5,000 employees nationally. Elizabeth loves living in Colorado and is excited to play a part in helping our communities be the best they can be. Elizabeth is an Atlanta native, a graduate of the University of Georgia (undergraduate) and the University of Colorado (graduate).

Marc Ross is an experienced attorney and thought leader in the area of corporate social responsibility. He brings more than more than 20 years of experience that includes serving as an environmental attorney and founding an environmental advocacy organization. Since early 2016, Marc has been consulting companies, most notably in the cannabis space, on matters surrounding CSR. Marc received his B.A. in 1990 from the Pennsylvania State University and his J.D. in 1993 from the Dickinson School of Law. In 2016, Marc obtained an Executive Certificate in Corporate Social Responsibility from the Leeds School of Business of the University of Colorado (Boulder).
