When a brand advertises during the Super Bowl, the actual airtime of the
commercial is just one piece of a much larger, integrated marketing
campaign that encompasses everything from websites to social media to
paid search marketing to, yes, public relations.

In this session, learn how BRUNNER made the entire world care about 84
Lumber and what they stood for. Steve will discuss how they overcame
the network banning their first ad, how they pivoted their efforts from
creating a commercial to creating a short film, and how they made a
lumber company from southwestern Pennsylvania a global topic of
conversation for an entire month.

Meet Steve Radick
Steve is the VP, Director of Public Relations at BRUNNER in Pittsburgh, one of the top independent advertising agencies in the U.S. He is also the current President of the Pittsburgh chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). 

At BRUNNER, he is responsible for all PR efforts across the entire client portfolio including 84 Lumber, Huffy, Owens Corning, and Compact Power Equipment Rental. Most recently, he led the PR efforts for AdWeek’s #1 Super Bowl commercial – 84 Lumber’s Super Bowl commercial, “The Journey Begins.”

Prior to joining BRUNNER, Steve was the Director of PR at Cramer-Krasselt in Chicago where he supported a variety of clients including Cedar Fair Amusement Parks, Maui Jim, Porsche, Vitamix, and Heinz. Before that, he spent nine years at management consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton, where he created and led their social media and digital strategy practice.
